The redundant way the children refer to this wooded area behind the institution originated from a playful suggestion by Bella. She points out that Santa Felicia has five leafy trees in Park 1. To her, that’s a wood in itself, an indoor forest. Amidst smiles and giggles, no one on the staff could argue with that logic, so the name stuck. The wooded area has been very close to the building for a long time, and the administration likes it that way. Truly majestic, it’s a peaceful forest, at least on this side of reality.
